Guidelines for posting Comments on the BayvilleBlog

First off, I would like to thank everyone for participating. I am glad to see that we've got lots of positive feedback and positive discussion around the
various issues posted. A special thanks to Barry Lamb for getting the blogs dialog going. If it wasn't for Barry, the blog would never have got off to
such a successful start and sparked so much interest.

When the site first launched, Barry and I mutually decided it would be best if we first watched what kind of comments were being posted. We were
not sure how the audience would “behave”. The primary goal of this site is to have an open dialog without censorship, I believe we have now achieved
this. We are both very happy in the way that the site has grown and are looking forward to the future of this informative site.

All comments post automatically. As people get more engaged with the BayvilleBlog, we want to set down some guidelines on how we are going handle comments in general. Remember, you as an individual are responsible for your own words. The Blog is like a public "notepad", your participation is optional.

Things we would like to see in comments:
Lots of good interesting comments on the various entries on the blog
Keep it on topic
Keep it respectful
Keep it fun

Things that will get comments edited/deleted:
Offensive or abusive language or behavior
Misrepresentation (i.e., claiming to be somebody you're not) - if you don't want to use your real name, that's fine, as long as your "handle" isn't offensive, abusive, or misrepresentative
Blog-spam of any kind

I hope these basic rules will keep the discussion lively and on topic. Remember your participation is optional.
